As the Senior Advisor to the Australian Aid Foundation, Wavefront oversaw the vision and design details for a revitalized waterfront in Apia, arguably the most attractive urban centre in the South Pacific. Guidelines for streetscape greening, building frontage and massing, parking for the market, government buildings and lively commercial blocks, and visual and park access to the waterfront were based on sustainable design and heritage conservation measures. Wavefront advised members of the Public Urban Management Agency in Apia on the preparation of a 75 page illustrative manual which won an urban design award in Samoa.
