Wavefront was the project lead, planners and landscape architects for Saskatoon’s Park Development Standards, transforming policies and guidelines in 18 planning documents into one unified, forward-thinking strategy. This comprehensive plan provides clear, scalable policies and guidelines for park development—from city-wide systems to neighbourhoods, subdivisions, and every park type.  Grounded in the City’s “Sustainability First” commitment, the strategy embeds green planning and design principles throughout, supporting long-term sustainability for both park planning and park design. Public engagement was central to the process, with input from residents, stakeholders, the development industry, and City staff shaping a clear, practical, and inspiring vision for the future of Saskatoon’s parks.
